FBC is a fellowship of local small-business owners who want to cultivate positive community engagement through enterprising conversations, practical ideas, and outreach.
This website is built first as a useful local resource: a place where residents find reputable businesses, businesses gain visibility, established owners meet future entrepreneurs, and businesses can invest back into the community.
That starts with established businesses, extends to students developing serious entrepreneurial ideas, and can begin as simply as a kid, a card table, and a pitcher of lemonade or a bundle of fresh flowers.

Directory standards
Fircrest-centered, not Fircrest-exclusive.
Priority goes to businesses physically located in Fircrest. Reputable businesses in University Place, Tacoma and nearby communities may also be included when they clearly serve Fircrest residents. Fircrest businesses remain the most prominent; nearby businesses are always identified by location.
The standard is simple: if a business meaningfully serves Fircrest, it can be considered for inclusion.
- Identifiable public reviews on Google, Trustpilot, Yelp, Facebook, BBB or relevant industry sources
- Generally a public rating of 4.0 or higher
- No membership or sponsorship required
- Submission doesn't guarantee inclusion or recommendation
How FBC is funded
By sponsoring businesses.
Sponsorship funds monthly meetings, speaker honorariums, business promotion, educational programming, youth entrepreneurship, community initiatives, and the growth and operation of FBC.
Businesses are not paying to be recommended. Sponsors are investing in the community FBC is building.
